I worked with Mark while a member of the Chicago Freeze Hockey Team staff and wanted you to know that even though five years have passed I still think of your son each and every anniversary and remember what a great man he was and that he had such a great heart for the kids he helped and the game he loved.

He is still deeply missed and my condolences go out to your family.

To the family of "Bavo" - I knew him through my boyfriend of 5 years who was his dear friend, Rob Concannon. Mark was a very genuine person and a great friend. You are in our thoughts and prayers and Bavo is truly missed.

To the family of Mark Bavis:

Mark was a wonderful, caring, terrific guy. Not a day goes by that I don't think of him and miss him dearly. Almost a year has gone by, and it still knocks me off my feet to think of the loss of Mark. Deepest sorrow to the Bavis family and all the other families who suffered from 9/11.

Rita Riley

What a tragic loss of a terrific man.
