Mary,
It has been almost six months since your senseless death. I saw your name in the paper shortly after the attack. I identified with you because we were the same age. You and I would have played with Hula Hoops and children. Our first reader would have been about Dick and Jane. We wouldn't have played with Barbie dolls. Television would have become popular when we were kids. You may have enjoyed Your Hit Parade as much as me.
And now you'll never know what the year 2002 has been like...how my heart is heavy because you are not here.
Even though we never met I feel your loss so deeply and personally. I pray for your family daily and hope they are feeling the love and grace that comes only from our Father in heaven.
