Dear Uncle Steve,
I can still remember coming home from 2nd grade to my mom crying. I didn't understand until Grandma explained everything to me. Im sure she misses you so much right now. I may not have known you so well, but you're still my uncle and I love you.

In 1973, when I graduated from Columbia University, the World Trade Center was just topping off.

Then and there I enjoyed what the French call "flaner," or strolling down the tight canyons of Wall St

The loss of the towers, leaves the dimensions of those canyons skewed.
Also, the French do not have a word to desfcribe the events of 9/11

I miss, ever so much, being a part of Lower Manhattan, when I was a student!

My thoughts are with yo at this trying time. As the anniversaynears, ma you lift your head and heart and find the strength that will take you through.

THE WORLD WAS A BETTER PLACE FOR HAVING YOU IN IT AND THERE IS MUCH SADNESS WITHOUT YOU. YOU HAVE EARNED YOUR REWARD OF EVERLASTING LOVE AND PEACE.
