I would like to say that in the last 15 minutes of Barbara Aregusti, Jeffrey Collman Sara Low Karen Martin Kathleen Nicosia Betty Ong Jean Roger Dianne Snyder and Madeline Sweeney (aka) Amy lives that they were brave and strong to call Logan Airport before their flight American Airlines Flight 11 hit the N. Tower of the World Trade Center. I cant imagine that my cousins who work for American Airlines knew these people. If I could have changed anything about 9-11-01 I wish I could have talked to my friend Chris M. who was on flight 11 minutes before going into the twin towers. NYC I was in when his plane hit. I basically didnt know what was going on until I got the phone call from Madeline Sweeney 15 minutes into her flight telling me that her flight was hijacked. I will remember her always and her spirit will be with me for the rest of my life, including Chris who was coming to my high school graduation.

Today, 9/11/02, in San Diego, CA. I rang the Freedom Bell in memory of Christopher D. Mello. Chris, I never knew you, but you are my American Hero. You gave the ultimate sacrifice. I will remember you always. To your family, you are in my prayers. I can't even begin to understand the grief I am sure you feel. But know that you do not greive alone. Your country mourns with you. I mourn with you. I considered it a priveledge and an honor to have rang the bell in Chris' name. Chris, you will live in our hearts forever. I will meet up with you in heaven someday. It will be then that I can personally thank you. Until then, may God keep you in His loving care. God bless you, your family, and God Bless America.
