Dear Carol & daughters,
On Sept.11,2011, our town here in Rockford MI(and other surrouding areas) errected the "HEALING FIELD" OF FLAGS on a ski slope, representing all those who lost their lives on 9/11/01. It was truly an incredable sight. We were given the opportunity to "adopt" a flag, or as many as we wanted. Our family found Capt. Daniel Brethel's and adopted it. The bio attached moved me so deeply. This flag now flies in our yard proudly with his name attached. He will ALWAYS BE REMEMBERED. God bless you and your daughters.
God Bless You.

Today, May 2, 2011, my thoughts are with you and your family as well as with all the other victims from 9/11 as I listen to the news of Osama Bin Laden's death. May you rest in peace my friend. (mem)

On 10 September 2004 I am thinking of Friar Mychael Judge. I am an Australian who am about the same age as Mychael. In 1955 I entered the Order of Friars Minor (Mychael's Order) in Australia. He, of course, was in the Holy Name Province in New York, I was in the Holy Spirit Province in Australia and New Zealand.
I lived in the Order for five years, then left to later become a lawyer ...
and these days, a law teacher.
On the evening of 9/11 a number of friars and former friars were dining here in Sydney. We left the dinner, went home and within an hour or so were gripped by the calalmity in New York. Within another short period we were thrust back into the spirit of our reunion dinner on learning of Mychael Judge's death.
This week a former friar is back here in Sydney from Paris...we were meeting him back on 9/11.
So, this week and especially tomorrow Mychael Juge, whom none of us ever met...but was once our franciscan brother...will be in our hearts again. May his soul and the souls of all the other 9/11 victims rest in the Lord.

Danny-
Not a day goes by that I don't think of you. We all miss you more then words can express.

You were so many things to so many people. You were: a brother,a father, a husband, a cousin,a friend, a leader and an inspiration to those who had the honor of knowing you.

Carol

Danny:

You are the absolute love of my life, the air that I breathe. You are my heart, my soul, my life, my love, my hero. I will miss you forever.

Love you always, Carol
