It sounds like Al Braca was a wonderful man and an inspiration to everyone who knew him. Shortly after September 11, 2001, the Chicago Tribune published short descritions of all the individuals lost on that horrible day, and Mr. Braca's was especially meaningful to me. He was a lighthouse to those around him, and I wish I could have his undaunted faith and strength in sharing it. When I think of the tragedy we experienced one year ago, it is Mr. Braca who comes to my mind, though I never knew him and only hope I someday will. My prayers have been with his family more than they will ever know, and Al Braca will certainly be in my thoughts on this sad anniversary.

Although I wish with all of my heart that Mr. Braca were still alive, I would never had gotten the chance to get to know this wonderful family if he still were. Somehow, as much as I began this journey with the fact that, "they must need me somehow" in mind, I think that I need them in my life as much as they might need me! They are beautiful people with open hearts and they are wonderful. God bless, my dear Bracas. I can't wait to see you this summer.

Al Braca was a great man who loved his wife and family very much. However, I know he is happier now than he ever dreamed was possible.
My prayers are for Jean Braca and for Al's children that they would find their strength and comfort in the Lord during this difficult time. They will all see Al again someday!
