September,11,2004

There was 2,998 american flags at a local park (it was called the Healing Field). They where selling the flags for $25 dollars each for a local charity. I bought one. I wanted a new york fire fighter. I picked Mr.Stephen Elliot Belson. Now I have his flag and his picture in my room on my wall to look at when i go to bed. I can now think of how good I have my life, safe.

I remember Steve "Bells" from my youth in Rockaway, and the days of just "hanging out". He was popular, well liked, and always friendly. Although I live in North Carolina, it does my heart good to know of Bells Beach. May the family and friends find comfort on this sad day of rememberance, and may his name forever be revered.
