Carl you were a great firefighter even though I never met you I no you went in the fire to save the people in the buildings you were great but now you are gone my Uncle Carl is gone. I LOVE YOU CARL

This is to Carls family. I am a Firefighter in the Denver area. For the last 5 years we have done a memorial stair climb in a high rise in Denver. It is only 55 stories so we do it twice. WE do it in full turn-oputs and with scba. This year it had grown so much tha the number of participants was limited to 343. The organizers issued and id of one of the fallen firefighters to every participant. I was assigned Carl. I was greatly privilaged and honored to do the climb with him. He and his family have been very much in my thoughts since then. If possible I would likle to send you a letter and some pictures from that day.
