On this One Year Anniversary of such a tragic and horrible date in the history of our country and to so many people who have suffered such a loss, my mind brings up the memory of Joseph Angelini Sr. and his son, Joseph Jr., both lost to their families on September 11.
My deepest and most sincere thoughts of profound sorrow are extended to their family members who grieve their loss. What a time they must be having together in a place where there is no hurt, no pain, only the joy of pure love. My thoughts and prayers are with members of the Angelini family that are left behind in their own emotional rubble, trying to clear their own 'ground zero' and look forward to a season of rebuilding. please excuse me, that i write the following words in german, but my english is too bad. I hope you will finde someone, who can translate this.
Ich möchte Ihnen allen meine tief empfundene Anteilnahme zum Ausdruck bringen.
Sie werden sich nun fragen, wer ich bin oder woher ich Ihren Mann, Vater kannte.
Da ich selbst in einer Freiwilligen Feuerwehr (Volunteer Fire Dep.) in Deutschland tätig bin, interessieren mich auch andere Feuerwehren. So gab es bei uns im TV einmal eine Reportage über die "Rescue 1". Dabei war auch Ihr Mann zu sehen. Ich habe mir diese Reportage mehrmals angesehen und Joseph Angelini sr. wuchs mir ans Herz (so merkwürdig dies vielleicht klingen mag). Auch in anderen Dokumentationen über die Feuerwehr New York war er zu sehen.
Wie gesagt, es mag merkwürdig klingen, aber mir wuchs dieser Mann ans Herz und nach allem was ich bisher über ihn im Internet erfahren habe (soweit ich dies aufgrund meiner nicht allzu guten Englisch-Kenntnisse verstanden habe), war er ein großartiger Mann!!!!
Nochmals mein tiefempfundenes Mitgefühl über diesen Verlust und ich wünsche Ihnen und Ihrer Familie alles erdenklich Gute!!!

I'd just like to say that Mr. Angelini is an inspiration to me. His long record of impecable service is remarkable. I would like to become a firefighter when i finish high school next year and Mr. Angelini is a the best example of heroism that could have ever lived. We should all be very proud of him and other like him.
