Jimmy, I read in one of the bookd about htis terrible act that you always carried a can of tuna in your pocket going to fires. I thought well this guy is prepared for any emergency.Your act of bravery will always be in my memory and all your band of brothers who died that day to save others as well. God Bless your family.

I offer this tribute to Jim Amato.May God bless his family in the days ahead. I rememeber Jim when we played two hand touch on his cousin's lawn in the 1960's and as a great Soccer Goalie and teammate at Connetquot. I wasn't surprised to hear of his fire rescues and his medals. It sounded like he grew up to be a great man...I'm sorry I didn't get a chance to know the adult Jim Amato-and from what I read I hope I meet him in heaven.

I never knew my spiritual brother, but our family's thoughts, prayers and love are towards his loved ones at this time.

there are some rare, very precious men that stand up as an example of courage, of loyalty, of altruism.

perhaps this world still exists because of their being in our midst...

when we're around one of them, we all feel comforted and courageous and strong.
and when one of them goes, there simply is not another human being who can comfort us, or help us, or make us not to have this overwhelming missing feeling...

there is only Jehovah, who comfort us, who can make us strong, and who gives us hope...

rely on this hope. and you will see the sun shine again. and him again. you know this is true.

My thoughts and prayers go out to James' family. As my spiritual family, I grieve with them even though I did not know him personally. I look forward to the time where I can meet him in the resurrection in a peaceful new world, and where he will then be reunited with his family and friends- Ps 37:11

As one of his spiritual brothers, I look forward to seeing James again when he's resurrected in God's New World. At that time James and others will awaken from death to see a truly peaceful and cleansed earth. What joy he will experience to see the loved ones he knew before he died. That will truly be a happy time!
