I met Richard and his family on an Alaskan cruise/tour in the Summer of 2001. They were very nice people.

I was saddened when, after finding his business card in my wallet, I subsequently confirmed that he was one of the WTC victims.

My prayers go out to his family, and I pray that their memories of him may be some solace as the years pass.

Richard and I worked together at Sithe Energies. My first impression of Richard was that he was quiet, spoke softly, worked hard and pretty much kept to himself. But once you got to know him, opened up to you. We would have lunch and he would talk and not just typical talk but very interesting conversations.

Our relationship was a working relationship nothing outside of that. A few jokes here and there and lunch. I knew him for about a year and as time went on the memories faded. I was shocked today when I came across the news of his passing. All the memories came back. I can hear his voice, his laughter, having lunch. These memories will remain with me now as a legacy to a really decent professional man who loved his family. However they can not fill the emptiness I feel that such a person like Richard was taken so tragically. Thinking back he id leave an inpression on me and I could only imagine the impression he left to the ones closest to him.

My deepest and most heartfelt sympathy to the Aceto family. My prayers are with you. My prayers are with him. And I will remember Richard.

Sincerely

Daniel O'Connor

I had not seen Richie in almost 30 years when I heard of his passing. He was my best friend as a young child in Brooklyn. I always remembered him, and I always will. May God bless him and his family.
