Though I only knew Karl for a few years, I considered him one of my best friends. We still tell "Karl" stories at work on a fairly regular basis. He is now, and will always be missed.

karl, i'd never met you in person yet i spoke to you every day (as the assistant to one of your peers at white capital)...i just wanted to let you know that i can still remember your voice (as a very kind voice), and that i hope you've found peace.
