We have lost a father, brother, Uncle. I am prowd to say i (know) him, The way he lived is an example of a man who loved his famely & his wife more then i could put into words , The Fireman other men looked up to and respected as the best there is. Now i see him in his sons and doughters! I am prowd to know them as well, thay show the stranth and compation of a Downey. Oak street will never be the same without him. Nor will I

To the family and Brother Firefighters of Chief Downey I would like to express my heart felt condolences. I had the privelage of meeting Chief Downey at some of his lectures and also had the privelage of riding with him on Rescue Co. 2 when he was a Captain on that Rig.
