Sean I just wanted you to know that you and your wife are not forgotten. I don't know you and never knew your wife but I just had an urge to write to you tonight and let you know you will always be in my prayers. I hope that you can find some peace from all of the people who were touched by her obvious love for you. Her life was not lived in vain.

I just wanted to let you know that we will never forget what happened that fatefull day. My prayers are with you always. Be strong and hold your head up high. The Lord is always by your side.

To Sean and Melissa's family,
It is September 10, 2004. I am filled with overwhelming emotion. I just wanted to let you know that I was thinking of you. I went to college with Melissa - we were in the same sorority (Pi Phi). She graduated a year after me. She was a wonderful woman with a radiant smile. I'm not really sure what else to say except that she is truly an angel and will be missed. My thoughts and prayers are with you always. Peace.

To those who loved and knew Melissa Harrington Hughes...It has been approx. 2 1/2 years now and her beautiful face and haunting last message to her husband has stayed with me. Although I never met Melissa, something about her touched me deeply. I can't imagine the pain and sorrow you have gone through losing her. Please know that many people that you don't know, and will never know, have prayed for you,...are praying for you,...and will continue to pray for you. From what I've read about Melissa, she must have been a special person and a terrific role model for young women. May you find some comfort in knowing that she was so very special... and without doubt left a lasting impression on many.

Sean:

As we conclude the first anniversary since the September 11 tragedy, my prayers are with you and your family for the loss you have endured. My heart went out to you when I viewed your interview segment on the Today show, for Melissa seemed to be a truly beautiful, competent woman. Keep the faith...for America stands together...

To die an early death
Is a fate wished for by none
But we cannot take back
What's already been done

September 11th was a deadly day
Nothing could ever go so wrong
The missing sons, daughters and parents
Passengers will never get where they belong

Now as we try to recover,
And honor those who passed
I send to you this message,
On the anniversary of terror unmaksed

A token beyond the grave,
To find you if it will,
And a hopeful prayer for peace
That the violence might be stilled

Nikki

My prayers and thoughts go out to you and your family
