I never knew you. I am writing because last Sunday I met your sister at the park in Astoria and I kind of got to know you thou her words and memories. She was talking about you and her eyes were filling with tears. She talked about your retirement, your last phone call, your kids and so on. It was hard to listen to your sister talk about you and how much she misses you especially since we come from the same fatherland. Your friends and family loved you. She sure misses you a lot. I heard that your remains were identified (unfortunately some of them) and they were flown back home for the burial. Hope you rest in peace and I wish all the best to your family. I worked near by on 9-11 and I can only imagine the pain and grief you family and friends went though. My sympathy to your family and your sister… I did not know what to say to her that day at the park.

Rest in peace.

To the Gjonbalaj Family,
Be strong and always have faith. Mon is in a better place and is watching over you guys. From what I have heard, Mon was a great man and I hope you know that. Your father is next to you so when you feel afraid or just need him just talk because he is listening. May God Bless you Mon and your family as they are trying to deal with your loss. God Bless.
