I am Jerome Dominguez's brother. I have been wearing his braclet, one he owned as an ID, since 9-11. I was moved to hear about other people wearing his name and that he has grown to mean something to them. He was an amazing man. He had the largest number of green crosses in NYPD history. These are awarded for the saving of a human life. Prior to 9-11 he had 92 of them. Before working for the NYPD SWAT team he was in a special extrication unit of the Highway Patrol. If you had been caught in a burning car it was his hands that would have reached through the flames, in his special flame proof gloves, to save you. He was always like that since he was little. He would come to the rescue.

January 21,2008 and still wearing the braclett with Jerome Dominguez's name on it. I feel lost without having it on my wrist.

I pray for peace for this family. For a sense of comfort...a dedication to carry on who Jerome as to his friends, other family, and even strangers.

I recieved a braclett from my father in oct or nov of 2001 with the name Jerome Dominguez NYPD on it. Today I looked up his photo and bio. on the internet. It was odd putting a face to a name that I have been wearing on my wrist for almost 3 years. I hope that his family is doing well and that they can know that a woman in Michigan is keeping Jerome's name on her wrist and thinking of him everyday.
