We served together aboard USS RUSSELL (DDG-59). Although we were never more than shipmates and acquaintances, you've always stood out among the people I remember from my time in the navy. You were quite a character and one of the most unique and talented artists I have ever known. I regret now not having known you better but you will always be remembered for your sacrifice and dedication. God speed, and may the winds be always at your back, shipmate.
