Dear Christopher, you were so young when you were taken! It has been a while since I was your age, poised full of promise to take flight through my life. Truly you have embarked on a greater flight than you expected, and I can only imagine how sharply and deeply you are missed. Yet I know that you watch over those you love, and that your work and your promise continue to unfold on the other side. Your name was given to me a year ago at a 9/11 ceremony at my church, and I have a candle for you in my room. I am praying for you, that you continue your youthful rush deeper and deeper into God's light, and that the ones who know and love you so much will feel the beauty of your spirit and your joy as you wait for them to join you in that place of love. May they receive the peace that you experience, and may your hearts recognize and hold fast to each other there.
