I remember Joe from the USS WS SIMS FF-1059, he was a mess cook working for me, Great guy, hard worker, This is hard to believe. Sending prayers to Joe's family.

I served with Joe back on the USS W.S. Sims (FF 1059). He and I were both 20 years old then. He taught me to be a good helmsman. I will not forget him; I wear a 9/11 memorial bracelet with his name on it. Thanks Joe for being my friend.

I was lucky enough to serve twice with Joe, first on the USS Seattle and then on the USS George Washington. To the family you talked so much about Joe, my thoughts and prayers are always with you. God Bless.
